I didn’t get the chance to right a review on the Galaxy S8, which came out early 2017, and without a doubt Samsung’s Galaxy product lineup has boasted lots of high specifications, infact I can say for sure that they have pushed the Android devices to a whole new level mover the few years. I’m glad to inform you guys that the company has confirmed the release of their next Galaxy flagship device and will be launching this February.

Below I’m going to be highlighting what y’all should be expecting from the Galaxy S9
    • The latest leaks tells us the S9 will come with a 3000mAh battery, same with what its predecessor had but it might be made with a different material.
    • As I mentioned earlier it is said to be released in February 2018 but it might be on sale in March. Previously, Samsung released their devices at MWC and they might follow suit.
    • Price is not yet confirmed but with the looks of things we are to expect a relatively high price
    • Samsung’s Galaxy S9 screen is rumored to come  with an in-screen scanner, a water repellent coating and a 5.8 inch QHD+ screen, it might retain the aspect ratio of the S8’s 18.5:9, it’s going to come with a Super AMOLED screen also
    • This time it might have smaller bezels and also a repositioned fingerprint scanner.
    • A 12MP dual pixel lens will come with the S9 with optical image stabilization, same as the S8, but might have a variable f/1.5-2.4 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will use 3D sensored front facing camera
    • Like its predecessor it supports wireless charging
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset will likely power the Galaxy S9, it’s an octa-core with four cores clocked at 2.8GHz and the remaining four clocked at 1.8GHz, which is a whole lot better in performance than the Snapdragon 835, it also allows the camera to record 4K Ultra HD videos at a whooping 60fps.
    • LTE with a download speed of 1.2Gbps – which is a whole lot faster than your average android phone, this means you can download an HD movie within the twinkle of an eye.
    • We are not sure of the amount of RAM we’ll be getting but it might be either a 4GB or 6GB
    • Samsung will likely improve the iris scanner for the S9 and it might also have good sound, as there are rumors of it coming with AKG stereo speakers.

That’s all you need to know about the Galaxy S9 for now, do stick around cus some of this specs are bound to change and we’ll let you know when it has been released officially.

Over this past few weeks on social media, West Africa’s Mobile phone giants Tecno has been teasing fans about a new flagship device, this left many fans guessing, but later on they revealed it was going to be a Phantom device, as you all know, the Phantom line is Tecno’s flagship device spotting sky rocketing specs and high prices. Last Week, Tecno unveiled their latest flagship device in Dubai on October 22, 2017, I even thought they were going to follow the number trend, 5…6…7 but I thought wrong, the Phantom 6 was released sometime last year and the 6 plus followed, Phantom 8 is the successor of the much acclaimed Phantom 6 and will surpass the previous device.

READ ALSO: Checkout Infinix's Game Changer: The Zero 5

Tecno Phantom 8 Main Specifications and Features

    • 5.7” IPS Display with 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD) (400ppi)
    • 2.6Ghz octa-core high end MediaTek Helio P25 CPU with 6GB of RAM
    • Nougat (Android 7.0) with Revamped HiOS
    • Internal Storage 64GB with external storage support for up to 256GB
    • Dual Rear Camera 12MP + 13MP and Front Camera 20MP
    • 4G LTE
    • Rear Fingerprint Scanner
    • 3500 mAH Battery

The Phantom 8 comes with a dual rear camera with a 12MP and 13MP sensor for overwhelming and extraordinary image qualities, I’m really a big fan of Camera phones because this days it’s more like a smartphone isn’t complete without a good camera to capture those unforgettable moments, it packs a Tri-LED flash, 10X zoom and autofocus among its features.
Its front camera is also blazing with a whopping 20MP camera, of course it also has dual-LED flash, which is more than enough for taking those breath-taking selfies.

    Display and Design

Built with Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the screen, it also has a 5.7 inch display size has stated above earlier with a FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, this is the highest quality of YouTube videos, the images are crispier than its predecessor.
My honest opinion the design of the Phantom 8 is really cool though I expected it to come with an on-screen keypad, but it really doesn’t matter because they have their disadvantages, it has a metallic build with a 3D ‘Diamond Fire Design’ for a good feel. It has curvy egdes and is svelte at 7.9mm.

As you all know it comes with an Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Tecno’s own HiOS skin for effective user experience. As of now Android 8.0 Oreo is out but I don’t know why they didn’t ship it with the device and it’s a little bit disappointing but they might roll out a major update in the near future.

Tecno decided to go for the best in this device, so they used MediaTek’s own Helio P25 octa-core processor with 2.56GHz processing speed and backed up with 6GB of RAM, for me, it’s too much but power hungry users will need this one. Your apps and games should run flawlessly on this device thanks to the hardware components.

I actually noticed the device came with 3500mAH battery which is a no-no for me, as I expected a powerful device like this to have at least 5000mAH upwards but with the help of Android 7.0 OS and the power management softwares within the HiOS you should be able to get the best out of the battery but still it isn’t enough, it supports fast charging also.
Tecno Phantom 8 features USB OTG (On-The-Go), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n plus WiFi Direct, a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM slots, a Type-C USB port and supports 4G LTE connectivity.

Emulations shouldn’t be a new things for you guys as it has gone viral over the years, with many game consoles already emulated and most of this emulators even boast more performance than their actual console counterparts. We have the likes of Dolphin for the Wii console, PCSX2 for the PlayStation 2 just to mention a few. We also have other emulators for the Android device but most of them emulate classic games very well, I can’t remember them presently but if you feel the need you can Google it up. So, to the main article I’m here to discuss PSP emulation on Android and PC, I couldn’t even get my hand on a PSP gaming console at that time but this emulator kinda gives me a short cut and I don’t have to get a PSP console to make it work.

PPSSPP is an emulator solely developed for the emulation of PSP games at the time of its launch it was really struggling with AA game titles, users experience major lagging and frameskipping mostly on Android devices because of their low processing power and low processing speed, we all know the performance of a PC can’t be compared to an average Android smartphone. But, with the hardwork of the developers, the emulator is already close to perfection in my own view as long as you have a smartphone with at least 2GB of RAM and Quad-core processor and a high CPU clock speed.
I wouldn’t want to stress you guys so I’m going to drop the direct links of the emulator for both Android and PC.

For Android devices, click here to download.

For PC devices, click here to download.

Now, here are my top 10 PPSSPP games for Android and PC, don’t worry I’m going to drop their download links, if you fancy them. This list is in descending order.

Note: This list is strictly my opinion, as there are a lot of breath taking titles out there you can feel free to drop yours in the comment section below.

    10. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress

Who the fuck says he doesn’t like Naruto, I’m a huge fan of the franchise until it came to an end and proud to tell you guys that I’m following the sequel Boruto: Naruto the next generations, the game was developed by CyberConnect2 for Namco Bandai Games, the gameplay is really addictive and if you loved the combat style of the PS2 counterpart I’m very sure you are going to fall in love with this one, and guess what it doesn’t require much hardware to run smoothly I didn’t even experience a single lag on my wacky android then.

    9. WWE Smackdown Vs RAW 2011

I’m not really a good fan of Wrestlemania, in fact friends ask me if I’m really a guy or just pretending to be one for this reason, but I can tell you that this game packs a lot of fun almost compared to a real wrestling match, I got my hands on it few weeks back and I can tell you are going to love it. Many WWE superstars are at your grasp to play with and guess what you can also customize your very own superstar. I don’t want to talk too much, try and see for yourself.

    8. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

I played the PC version of this game years ago with my crappy desktop computer, I did enjoy it that time, so this is like a remake for the PSP, y’all familiar with the GTA franchise with lots of fans over the world, their best known for their open world, even lets you feel like a badass right on your couch, explore the life of Vic Vance.

    7. Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy

PSP had a lot of final fantasy titles but I can tell you this is the best of the best, if you love RPG games a lot you are going to love this one, it has a really long game play and a variety of characters to choose from plus video scenes to bring the game play to life. PPSSPP emulates this game pretty well if you have a very good specs.

    6. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier

This game is very adventurous and it’s story driven, packed with lots of actions, fun puzzles and racing. It’s really colorful and its gameplay is fully 3D.

    5. Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines

One of the games that WOWed me on PSP was this very game, the concept is not different from the other Assassin’s creed out there, however this game needs requires a lot of juice to run. On my last device it actually blacked out during the movie scenes and you can notice a little lag but it’s playable at least.

    4. Dragon Ball Z – Shin Budokai, Shin Budokai 2 and Tenkaichi Tag Team.

You must be wondering why I put them all in one place, I find it really hard to make a choice because they are all great games, I actually played them all, yea you heard me played them all, it’s really addicting I find myself exhausting all my time and battery on it and it runs well on Android devices. A lot of characters to choose from, addicting story mode and lots more.

    3. God of War: Ghost of Sparta

Kratos!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy was one of the reasons I bought a PS2 back then, I fell in love with the gameplay and most especially his voice. You can imagine the joy you got from the PS2 version, it’s the same on PSP in a portable version LOL. Get ready for more hack ‘n’ slash. It requires a lot also but it should stress a PC.

    2. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact

You must be wondering why another Naruto game came up here, but hey this game is fucking good, they scrapped the 2D gameplay style and replaced it with a 3D open world style which makes you feel like playing a PS3 port on a PSP with reduced graphics, even if you are not a fan of the series you are going to love it that I guarantee you.

    1.       Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

Square Enix really killed this game and it was the only title in its series to be released on a PSP, it pains me so much that I didn’t get to finish the whole game but for the most part I played it was really WOW. Immersive gameplay, great story, lots of characters, did I forget to mention it’s a mixture of Disney characters like Goofy, Mickey, Donald etc. and Final Fantasy characters like Sora, can’t really remember their names but it’s a great title that’s why it’s on my Number 1.

This games mentioned above shouldn’t stress your average PC, some low end Android devices might have problems running this games smoothly.

Remember guys this is just my opinion and there are lots of titles out there that I might not have played, feel free to share your opinions below. If you don’t know where to download PSP ROMs from, visit Coolrom, they have a huge library of games not just PSP alone, I hope I was able to help guys, stay tuned for more cool stuffs.
